WX Splitter Series:

The wide wedge splits the log using minimal distance, reducing cycle time requirements.
Full splitting force is always applied because the cylinder is directly inline with the log, powering through the toughest wood with ease.
Switched to reverse, the splitting wedge returns to the start position hands free. Once at the end of the cylinder travel (start position) the controls automatically switch from reverse to neutral. Both features allow you to clear the split pieces and prepare the next chunk for splitting while the wedge is returning.
The 2-stage pump moves quickly and splits powerfully. Stage 1 quickly moves the wedge from the start position to the point of contact where minimal pressure is required. As the splitting action begins, the flow decreases and the pressure increases to provide maximum splitting force.
SPEED OF RETURN
Because of shaft displacement, less surface area means that less oil is required, thus increasing the speed to return the splitting wedge to the start position.

FORCE FOR SPLITTING
Full cylinder bore maximizes force because there is more area to apply pressure.
FULL STROKE CYCLE TIME
Full stroke cycle time is the amount of time it takes for the splitting wedge to travel the full cylinder length from the start position to the anvil and back to start.

AVERAGE SPLITTING CYCLE TIME
Average splitting cycle time is the average amount of time it takes for the splitting wedge to fully split a log, setup the next piece and begin splitting again.

The average splitting cycle time is based on straight grain logs. The average splitting cycle time will increase when processing stringy or cross-grain logs.
